Try to imagine life without time keeping.
You know the year, month, and day of the week.
There’s a clock on your wall or dashboard of your car. You have a calander, a schedule, a time for dinner or a movie.
Yet all around us timekeeping is ignored.
Birds are not late. Dogs don’t check their watches. And deers don’t fret over passing birthdays.
Man alone measures time.
Man alone chimes the hour.
And because of this, man alone suffers the paralyzing fear that no other creature has, the fear of time running out.
